Frequently Asked Questions
Can you attend both days or just one?
You can attend one day or both. Each event provides 4 hours of continuing education. The content is different on each day, so we encourage you to attend both days.
How do I access the webinars?
The webinars will be available through the WHOVA app during the live launch on the 18th and 25th of October.
Do I need to download the Whova app?
Yes. Prior to the event, you will need to download the Whova app. You can access the event on your phone, tablet or desktop.
Will I be able to ask questions during or after the event if it is pre-recorded?
Yes. On the 18th and 25th, the presenters will be available during their sessions to answer questions.
After the event, you will be able to email the speaker any questions you may have.
Can I attend any/all of the sessions?
Yes. On both the 18th and 25th, you will be able to access 4 hours of sessions. After the 25th, the webinars will remain accessible until Dec 31, 2020. You can access these sessions and recieve contiuning education credit for all sessions you have attened.
How do I receive my certificates?
You will recieve a ceriticate via the email you provided upon registration following the conclusion of the event on October 25th. You will be responsible for marking the lectures you attended.
Is this event RACE approved?
The "live" events on the 18th and 25th have been RACE approved - Program Number 902-44196
Who do I contact if I am having issues logging into the event?

How many hours of CE can I get credit for through the online format?
You can attend/view every session and recieve credit for each one you have attended. Please check with your state boards for information regarding how many hours of on-line learning is accepted. **You are required to pass a quiz for each session that you view after its live launch.
Is this event free?
Yes. Thanks to our sponsors, this event is free to all attendees.
What if I do not pass a quiz?
If you do not earn at least a 70%, you can retake the quiz.
Do I have to take a quiz for every session I attend?
No. You will only be required to take a quiz for the on demand sessions that you attend after their scheduled presentation. You can access all sessions until Dec 31st, 2020.
How can I reach out to vendors?
Vendors will be available all day on the 18th and 25th in their virtual booths. You can chat with them and access information about their companies through the Whova app.
Will there still be a giveaway?
Yes. We are doing a virtual bingo on the 18th and the 25th.
Is registration open yet?
Registration will be open at 7 am on Tuesday, July 7th. We will send out an email, a fax and post to our social media channels when registration is open.
When will lectures be announced?
You may find the lectures on the Whova app, under agenda. And, on the Sympsoium website, under the Schedule tab.
Is this event ADA compliant?
Yes. Lecture videos will have closed captioning.

Are all of the lectures available on demand after the live launch?
No. The following lectures are not available after the live launch:
Are all lectures pre-recorded?
All lectures are pre-recorded EXCEPT for the Zoetis Tick Talks: What is New with Ticks and Tick Diseases on 10/25 at 12:00 PM ET.
What are the benefits of using both the desktop version and mobile app?
We recommend using the desktop version to view lectures and to utilize the Q&A section within each session. The mobile app has exclusive features that will allow you to participate in contests during the event such as our passport and photo contests.
I am registered for the Specialty Symposium but Whova is asking me for an invitation code.
Please make sure that you are using the same email address you registered with to create/ log into your account. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact an organizer for the invitation code.
I already downloaded the Whova app on my phone. How do I download the desktop app?
Access through your desktop does not require downloading of the Whova app, however, you will still be required to have a whova account. You can access the desktop version using this link https://whova.com/portal/webapp/speci_202010/sign_up You will create an account using the same email address you used to register. Once signed in, Whova will automatically navigate you to the Specialty Symposium.
